Just Another Day… .

Hello World!

First let me say, Welcome and Happy New Year! Most think of Jan. 1st as a new beginning, a fresh start, hopeful, and a time of change. I on the other hand think of all that as “A best laid plan.” No resolutions for me this year. In fact, I love that in the year…

First let me say, Welcome and Happy New Year! Most think of Jan. 1st as a new beginning, a fresh start, hopeful, and a time of change. I on the other hand think of all that as “A best laid plan.” No resolutions for me this year. In fact, I love that in the year of 2025, I am putting zero expectations on myself. Now that, is freedom! We are all bombarded with enough expectations. Work, family, church, societal, and the list goes on and on. Instead of a resolution, I want to start a revolution….one that involves no extra expectations on this New Years day or any other in 2025. I just want to tackle my already long list of expectations the best I can and with some grace. I am a 40…something (nervous laugh) married, mother of three. Two boys in which I gave birth to and one daughter whom I was lucky enough to include in our family along the way. My children consist of a mix of Autism, a college student, teenagers, sports, and one whom needed a place to land and grow. I am a working educated woman who considers herself lucky to have even obtained a degree for multiple reasons. I love to learn from anyone and know for sure that I learned most in my life from my grandfather, who only had an 8th grade education. He taught me more than anyone else I know. My days are filled with work, family, hustle, frustration, love, tears, dirt, laughter, anxiety, and much more. I am not famous, I am not rich. I am just a working mother / woman who finds myself in many faucets, situations, and scenarios on a daily basis. I want to write about those situations and what I find within them. I want to bring more importance to the everyday life and those who are working hard to keep life in America afloat. Are you the son or daughter who is taking care of an elderly parent while raising kids and working? Are you the manufacturing worker who’s back aches yet you get up everyday and work anyway? Are you a business owner who is just trying to make payroll? Are you the single mom doing it all? Are you the grandparent stepping in for a parent? I can’t possibly list all the situations. No matter what it is, you are out there everyday and your life deserves to be celebrated! I am learning to embrace the ordinary and see it as extraordinary. A vanilla moment sitting at a traffic light might just end up being the topic of a post. If you like to connect, read, share, and just know that there is someone else out there who is just trying to do the best they can. If you would like to look at everyday life with laughter, tears, anger, honesty, and everything else in between. If you want to embrace the typical and know that your life is much more adventurous that you give it credit for…..come along with me. Come enjoy Just Another Day during 2025!
